The land itself has been farmed regeneratively since 2004: natural composting, cover crops, and careful pruning build living soil instead of depleting it, supported by biodiversity and beneficial insects rather than chemicals.
A model vegetable garden
Alongside our hives and orchards, you’ll find animals typical to traditional Cretan farms, an aromatic herb garden, and a model vegetable garden run entirely on regenerative farming principles, a small ecosystem you can walk through and explore.

Innovation with roots in tradition
Since the early 2000s, our fields, first our olive groves, and later every corner of the farm, have embraced regenerative agriculture principles: absolutely no synthetic fertilizers, minimal water use, and methods that work with the land rather than against it, including natural composting, cover crops, careful pruning, and a reliance on natural biodiversity instead of chemicals.
It’s a modern, science-backed approach, guided by our agronomist partner, but one that echoes farming as it was practiced here generations ago, long before chemical shortcuts existed.
